Dr. Olufunto Badmus, postdoctoral fellow, was awarded an American Heart Association Postdoctoral Fellowship for her project, “Mechanism of hypertension and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.”
Dr. Xiaochen He, postdoctoral fellow, was awarded an American Heart Association Postdoctoral Fellowship for his project, “Effect of cell specific PD-1 inhibition on cardiac toxicity”.
Dr. Alexandre da Silva, assistant professor, and Dr. Jussara do Carmo, associate professor, were awarded an R01 grant from the National Institutes of Health National Heart Lung and Blood Institute for their project, “Cardiac protective mechanisms of melanocortin system activation.”
